She thinks she knows the facts without hearing the evidence. I'd hate to be on trial with her on the jury. Anyway, too much fence-riding going on here, and too little thinking. And yes, if that had been a wolf or wolfdog, Miss Tracy, I'd still support the officer! NOW accuse me of being breed specific!

Even young people like you won't always see both sides of something like this. I noted in a discussion that I just put on, that the person who made the website for Tyson is the very one who added the note on the news clip. For Tracy to say she doesn't need to see it to know the truth really has nothing to do with being older. I am,too, but it opened my eyes. If I had only gone by what people were saying about the encounter, I'd be thinking that Tyson was calmly walking with his owner, leashed, and that the officer just shot him for no reason. Some of them were actually saying that. If some folks are tired of me talking about it, well-they need to stop, too! As long as the subject goes on, I'll defend those officers. Even though I expect most people to be too intimidated to sign it, I also started a petition-to show support for the officers. It's on the same site,Care2. If no-one signs it, so what. I made my point. A guy in my town was shot and killed a couple of days ago, because he was going after people in their cars, and then assaulted an officer. Just because he is black and the officer white, there's going to be a big hullaballoo about it. I saw the news, read the story in the paper, and nothing indicates race had anything to do with it. But-someone will say it does. Just as they're saying Tyson was shot because of his breed. I say ANY dog in the same situation would have been shot. The officer who shot perceived a threat to the other officer, that's all.

It makes a difference, you sure found out the truth through it. Hmm...I don't like ignorant people, either, who won't learn the facts. The shooting was NOT breed related, period. That's basically why I keep at it, hoping that you won't be the only person on this website who will open their eyes and see the truth. Sounds like some don't WANT to see any facts.

At 6:50pm on May 14, 2009, tracy said…: Hi my love hope all is great with you and babies...thank you for sharing the story on Tyson a very sad one at that...I do not care what people say or think I think it was not a case where the dog should have been SHOT at all...First Rule, never run from a dog as I have always known it, I just assumed that being with the owner he was on a leash, did not know he was not, only read what you put in your blog...Do not care to see video on utube or hear what the media has to say, cause I believe in my heart what was done because of his BREED and noone can tell me diffirent, as far as that goes ANY breed of dog can run after someone or attack at anytime none of them are exempt from the list...But the Bully/Pit breed has had so much media hipe and press that people see them and are like oh gosh a dangerous dog,LOL if they only knew....I have had and been raised with them ALL my life and know them and their ancestor history because I have made it a point to research and learn about them and also learned about them from having them all my life, so until you have had one or owned one do not try to tell me how they are or what happens in a story ya know...I just want everyone to know as it has always been...it is all about how you raise them, it is all bout the owner!!! I know the press and TV can twist and create stories about happenings for people and give them only what they want you to see, but in any case (except a life or death situation) no animal should ever be SHOT!!! and this I feel was breed related and no reason at all for this dog to get SHOT, I am sorry but that is how I feel...This is a subject DEAR and CLOSE to my heart since I own 4 of them...I do not like ignorant people and like I said if you have never owned one or known one do not judge them they have had enough of that by the media, Thank you sweetie for letting me vent I am so frustrated about this whole thing, people just need to leave it alone and let Tyson and his family heal and recover...Hope you have a "Happy Friday".......
