Yep, I'm in Roseburg. I have an African Serval by the name of Brophy, 2 Savannahs cats (50% serval & 50% domestic) and a Jungle-Bob (25% Jungle cat, 25% Bengal and 50% American Bobtail).

We own what "we"consider to be a couple of exotics. We have a bearded dragon & an albino leopard gecko, & have 4 parrots, a blue front amazon, a quaker, a nanday conure, & a sun conure. The rescued jenday conure will be going to a new home in Ft.Lauderdale soon.

It depends on how they are raised like any breed. The content also can make a difference. A low content will obey as much as any dog, a mid will think about a command and usually obey i.e. come, sit. Only the high content can be a challenge to raise and train. Yet mids and highs are the easiest to read and work with if you don't want your furniture, shoes, purses, cell phones if they get bored.

Oh Karen I do understand the confinement requirements and that most will not be exactly like a dog. My husband was very fortuante that his just happened to be very dedicated to him and never needed fencing as he was at his peoples sides at all times. He considered them his pack.
