Mary I friend requested you, I have had great success with Canidae dry chicken and rice, blend it in the blender and mix with warm water and evap milk for the small pup. Offer it 4 or 5 times a day and she should gain. Email any time I am glad to help!!

Anyone need any birthing tips?? Let me know!! I started the group, been busy with puppies but here if anyone needs advice. I have been breeding American Cockers for 5 years and just had my 7th litter on New Year's Day. 7 healthy babies. I have had stuck puppies, revived puppies and have lost only 1 puppy at birth. So there is a lot that I can offer in way of advice!! Also in keeping prebnant dams healthy through the pregnancy.

Thank you Lori, I have a registered Mini Dachshund that is absolutely beautiful. We are keeping him intact with the intent of getting a registered female within a year or so to start a very small breeding program. I will never be a big breeder but hey I might want to hit you up for a female in a few months so certainly I will keep you in mind.

Hey guys!! I am a Breeder of English Bulldogs of 10+ years and of Miniature Dachshunds for a little over 5 years. I am more than happy to Mentor anyone that thinks that they may neet help. I am also a Vet tech at the local Animal hospital/animal shelter.
I really think that this a great forum and that peopple should ask questions if need be. We all learn something everyday when it comes to whelping and raising puppies.

Angela, thank you so much for doing this. I will most likely be asking you for advice before long myself. Though my breed of choice will be Miniature Dachshunds. I also will never be a large scale breeder and may only have a litter a year and then only if I have a waiting list.
